"We gotta move these refrigerators....

we gotta move these color TV's.... " - Dire Straits, Money For Nothing

Don't we all wish we could get money for nothing.... *sigh*

I went to Sears Outlet last night and found the refrigerator of my DREAMS!  It's so pretty I want to live inside of it! haha... but, I'm having a really hard time finding reviews on it.  It's a Jenn Air, which I know to be a sort of Cadillac of appliance brands, they usually sell them at the higher end appliance stores, my dad has a Jenn Air grill he bought himself as a retirement present to himself and loves it.  But the price was just so incredible I don't think I can pass it up!  when they have their sale in 2 weeks, it will be under 1500!  And I can get an extra 5% when I get a Sears card, and just pay it off on the spot.

I'm hoping that my fellow bloggers can help me out there, I wasn't really impressed with anything else, except the KitchenAid brand, but the only ones I could afford has some cosmetic damage.  The Jenn Air didn't have  a scratch on it, it was new never used!  Tell me this isn't too good to be true!!!

above is the website view and below the actual pic I took in the store, I just loved all the features and especially that 4th drawer for veggies!  It's really deep!

The new "color TV" is probably going to have to wait until Christmas, we have really over extended our self and can only get the necessary stuff for now, the furniture will have to wait too :( It will be a shame to live in such a nice home with no furniture!  I'm hoping at the 10 month mark I can paint and do at least the living room and morning room.

  1. AWESOME fridge! Seems like a wonderful deal for that price! If the reviews were good I say do it!

  2. Hi Rachael! I checked consumer reports for you and didn't find a review. That is a good looking fridge! Don't worry I will have empty rooms too! I had big plans until I up the necessary things like closing costs, fridge, moving costs, window treatment, lighting and list goes on and on but my money doesn't!

Oh and as we will be neighbors I think it only right you have my name

    1. Thanks Darla :) I told Bev how we already met on the blog circut! I couldn't find any reviews either! Maybe no new is good news? It is a "sexy" fridge, as Bev would probably say! I'm still going to look around, and check out the local places. Bridgeville Appliance sells them, maybe I can get more info down there, also Dormont Appliance has good deals sometimes, and there is another one out in south park too, I can't remember the name of it though. Let me know if you have any recommendations for a washer/dryer too I'm totally lost of that! I only know to get ones that has direct drive but that's about it! I don't want to spend a fortune :/

    2. You are welcome! Bev would call it a 'sexy' fridge. I live around the corner from Dormont Appliance, I could walk there! I am afraid to go there because I thing the prices will be higher since they are a small store, but I should check all my options! I will see what I can find out about washer/dryer. Thank God we have those already (although PM told us we need to buy a four prong cord)

    1. Oh, I'm not on the mortgage at all, it's only in my husband's name so they didn't look at my credit (his was perfect so we got a better rate with out me on the loan) He knows to not touch his credit card or move any money around before we close lol!

  4. Oh nice! I'm in Dormont all the time, my friends all live there, I go to Mexi Casa every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday!! They are only $1! And don't be fooled just because Dormont Appliance isn't a big box store, they do have great deals! They wouldn't be in business as long as they have if they couldn't compete, I know they have a few good sales several times a year where you can really save a load of cash. We use to have a new LG set but had to sell them with our old house to get the contract :( but that's OK I didn't like them much, too small, our king comfortor never got clean!

    1. Sounds good I will have to take a walk and check them out. They have been in business a long time and it is nice to give a local stores business. That is why I love Rollier's in Mt Lebanom

  5. We moved from Dormont last summer after living there for 11 years! We bought our washer and dryer from Dormont Appliance about 10 years ago and both are still kicking!! We got good deals on both also. I don't know anything about the fridge...but it looks nice! How many cubic feet is it?

    1. It's 25 cu ft which is plenty for us we eat so much fresh food so we go shopping 2 times a week the freezer capacity is great though for all those BOGO meat deals! And the 4th drawer is huge perfect for veggies and fruit! I went to bridgeville appliance tonight and they have the exact same one but for 1,000 more!! The sales guy said it is a top of the line so I think I'm totally sold on it and going back to sears outlet to pick it up when it goes on sale.

  6. I didn't see any Jenn Air refrigerator reviews during my research for my own refrigerator, but I do know it is a fairly high end brand and has put out some great products.

I say it would be a good bet to go for this fridge. $1500 is a great deal on this style!

Don't worry - you are not the only one moving into a new house that will be without all the furniture awhile. We are in the same boat; we have only been able to get the "essentials" (fridge and washer/dryer). Look at it this way - at least you can take your time picking things that really fit what you want in your home and will last you for a long time. You can also wait for good sales!

  7. I agree with everyone else. Don't worry about not being able to furnish the entire house after you move in. I need a few new pieces but I'm not going into debt to get them. Take your time and furnish the place.

    1. I guess it's just the impantient child inside me taht wants to all "now now now!" lol but I'm hoping to save a little each month so that I can get some of the main areas done at the 10 month mark. I'm a very savy shopper and bargain hunter so i can really strech a budget! The big item will be the sectional, we have a cat, Mr. Tickles, who is the fuzziest furriest kitty in the world and boy does she shed!!! And since my husband is allergic to her, having the leather furniture is key, if we got fabric, it would be covered in her fur in about 24 hours! And leather isn't cheap I've come to find.... lol

    1. Yeah, I really can't beat that price! I'm going there first thing next Saturday to buy it, that's when it goes on super sale. The salesman said if that one was sold there were more in the distribution center so I hope he wasn't lying!! lol
