Ok I'm getting super pissed off lately because I'm getting 10 spam blog comment posts a day!!! Any of my fellow bloggers having this issue??? Am I going to have to go back to making y'all do that annoying word verification before you comment??? HELP!!!!!
Really?!?!?! I hope all of my comments are coming from real people! I know that I have been getting views from spam sites such as vampirestats and film something. I didn't know they could spam the comments too!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah I just started getting them maybe because my blog is being viewed more?? But thy leave generic sounding comments with links to spam or viruses who knows what! I got a spam comment from that vampire site too! Lol goggle catches some and marks them as spam but others I have to delete myself
DeleteSo far I haven't had any trouble... But my blog is fairly new still and I don't get many comments. I hope you can work it out.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've been getting them a lot more in my email, but when I look at the blog in the actual comments section, it's not there. So I guess the comments are getting blocked somewhere. Would be nice if they were blocked BEFORE getting into my inbox. I had about 20 of them one day. I'm with you...it's totally annoying!!
ReplyDeleteThat has happened to me as we'll. It's in my email but not on the blog!
DeleteThat's the same issue I have. I get quite a few emails a day showing a "comment" but nothing shows up on the blog. I just delete the messages but it is getting very annoying. A few of those spam comments are kind of creep me out a little.
DeleteI get comments from people that do roofing or landscaping, etc. I just delete them. I think you can set your comments so that you have to approve them before they are published... that might help without having to turn on the word verification.
ReplyDeleteI was getting them, but I haven't lately.
ReplyDeleteYes, and its because you mustve opened your blog up to google. If you turn google off, you wont get any. I guess it depends on your priorities :)
ReplyDeleteHow do I turn it off? I don't remember turning it on lol
DeleteMy page view jumped by like 200 in a day! I thought I was mistaken at first but maybe they were spam. I'll be on the lookout.
ReplyDeleteGoogle filters out spam comments about 50% of the time or more, if you go to your blogger account and under comments you can see "spam" comments listed, they are not posted, but some still get through the filter, the emails are the annoying part though!
DeleteMe too, I get them in an email but NOT on my blog, I am hoping we dont get this virus unless with click on the link they provide for us to look at??
